The strategy module is made up of 3 types of object:
- Policies,
- Rules,
- Monitors
Their definitions:
- Policy: Policies are high-level directives that define the general direction and principles of data governance.
- Rules: Rules enforce policies on a system by specifying permitted or restricted actions, rights, etc.
- Monitors: Monitors monitor a system's policies by performing regular checks.

Links between objects:
- parent / child: Groups can be parent to other groups or to their children. Example: a Policy Group can contain Policy Groups or Policies.
- is executed by: Policies are executed by Rules
- is monitored by: Policies & Rules are monitored by Monitors.
- applies to : Policies, Rules and Monitors apply to any type of catalogue object as well as to Data and AI Products.
- has for Domain: Like any DataGalaxy object, Policies, Rules and Monitors can have a Domain.
- is linked to: Like any DataGalaxy object, Policies, Rules and Monitors can be linked to another object.
