You want to import data from CSV files but you don't have a template?
Whatever the targeted module, you must provide the following information to define or reference DataGalaxy's object :
- The object's "Path": is the full object hierarchy separated by "\" characters, ending with its name, for example \HUMANRESOURCES\DEPARTMENT\DEPARTMENTID
- The "type" of the object's "path" : identifies the types of the objects defined in the "path", separated by "\" characters. A type can be concept, business term, indicator, ... Please refer to this article describing the meta model object typologies to learn more about object types. An example of a "type" value of a "path" can be \Model\Table\Column
You can find in attachment examples of files for all our modules, by family of objects, as well as relations.
If you wish to get import templates with custom attributes as configured in your environment, please use the following procedure:
- Access the module you wish to import your data into.
- If the module is empty, create some data.
- Click on export data.
- Reuse the export template and then import data again.
