What is DataGalaxy's Multilingual AI feature?
DataGalaxy's Multilingual feature uses AI to automatically translate the content of your data catalog into multiple languages. You retain full control of your catalog thanks to translation customization options:
- You can modify, regenerate, and report translations made by our AI
- You can enter a business lexicon, enabling you to specify the translation of a specific term or acronym specific to your company
We plan to enable the translation of all object file attributes in the future. For the moment, only text and formatted text attributes (excluding technical attributes) can be translated.
Why activate Multilingual AI?
This Multilingual feature enables all company members to access and understand the data catalog, whatever their language of origin. Thus, it improves collaboration and data governance within your organization, which in turn will improve the tool's adoption by all users.
Who can activate Multilingual AI?
The multilingual feature is a paid option. To subscribe, please contact your account manager. If you have subscribed to the multilingual offer, your clientspace administrators can activate and configure the multilingual feature on your area. Please see the following articles for more information :

Can Multilingual AI be activated in a single workspace?
The multilingual feature is activated at the clientspace level to ensure consistency of language between the interface and the content of object cards, whatever the workspace. This way, all workspaces will benefit from this feature upon activation.
Is customer data used to train our AI model?
We do not use customer data to train our AI model. Your data is protected and not shared with third-party applications.
