The purpose of this article is to explain how to filter a link when you don't know its type.
You know that the object you are looking for is linked to another object, but you don't know the type of link that connects them?
Don't panic, you don't need to know the metamodel on your fingertips! Thanks to the simplified filters, we allow you to find all the objects linked to another one.
Simplified filters on links
There are 3 filters that allow you to filter on a link in a simplified way:
- In: This filter allows you to filter on the parents of an object, whatever their level of relationship.
Example: To find out which dashboards are in your application. - Contains: This filter allows you to filter on the children of an object, whatever their level of descent.
Example: To search which application contains your dashboard. - Linked to: This filter allows you to filter on any link without knowing its type (except hierarchy link).
Example: To search for objects linked to your dashboard, regardless of the type.
